Education:
High School Diploma or GED
Preferred Education: Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology
Required Licensure/
Certifications:
BLS from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross; a minimum of one of the following license qualification/certification combinations:
- FL DOH license qualification:
General Radiographer or Radiologist Assistant;
Certification/registration: ARRT (R) Radiography AND ARRT (CT) Computed Tomography - FL DOH license qualification:
Nuclear Medicine Technologist;
Certification/registration: ARRT (N) Nuclear Medicine Technology OR NMTCB, AND ARRT (CT) Computed Tomography - FL DOH license qualification:
Radiation Therapy Technologist;
Certification/registration: ARRT (T) Radiation Therapy AND ARRT (CT) Computed Tomography - FL DOH license qualification:
General Radiographer, Radiologist Assistant, and Computed Tomography;
Certification/registration: ARRT (R) Radiography AND ARRT (CT) Computed Tomography

Required Experience: 2 years of experience as a CT Technologist in a stroke accredited facility
Preferred Experience: 3 years of CT imaging experience
Necessary Skills- Knowledge of computer software and ability to troubleshoot.
- Ability to provide physical and/or psychological support to patients screening and patient limitations.
- Registration of patient.
- IV placement and/or blood draw for POC testing.
- MSTU preparation for scan.
- Uploading and transmission of images to Visage.
- Utilizing Telemedicine system.
- Creating CD of images for patients transferring outside UF Health.
- Any other duties that can create efficiencies within the workflow.
- Utilize downtime as productively as possible.
- Participate in MSTU simulations and educational activities to promote teamwork and efficiency.
- Community outreach and education efforts to promote the MSTU program.
- Work cohesively with team to streamline and/or create efficiencies on the MSTU that improve stroke metrics and patient care.
- Stroke data entry.
- Knowledge of software and ability to troubleshoot.
