Job Summary

Up to $2,000 Sign on Bonus

Baptist Medical Center is currently looking to add a Speech Language Pathologist to our Acute Care Rehab Team in Jacksonville, FL. This is a full‑time opportunity working a days schedule at our Downtown campus. The ideal candidate would have previous experience in Modified Barium Swallow Studies in an acute care setting.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates and treats patients of all diagnoses.
• Provides extensive patient/family education.
• Participates in multidisciplinary team care with nursing, physicians, dietitians, social services, respiratory, support staff, and other rehab professionals.
• Works in a fast‑paced setting requiring good time management, detailed documentation in the EMR, self‑directed initiative, and effective communication skills.

Experience

• Preferred: 1 or more years of experience working in an Acute Care setting.
• Experience with Modified Barium Swallow Studies.

License and Certification

• Basic Life Support (BLS) Required.
• Licensed Speech Language Pathologist Required.
• ASHA certification Required.
