Multi Modality Technologist (MRI) – UF Health Radiology – JTB Kernan – PRN
Join the University of Florida Jacksonville Physicians, Inc. as a Multi Modality Technologist (MRI) to perform high quality radiologic exams with expertise in at least two modalities. The role requires full compliance with regulatory standards and participation in on‑call schedules as applicable.
Responsibilities- Perform invasive and non‑invasive procedures, utilize sterile techniques, and operate complex imaging equipment under the direction of the Director and/or Manager.
- Attend staff meetings and complete mandatory training, including staff orientation, onboarding, training and development.
- Participate in weekend coverage and on‑call schedules, and cover additional shifts as needed by the department.
- Prepare for Joint Commission, ACR, Stericycle inspections and demonstrate knowledge of regulatory requirements.
- Perform venipuncture to administer contrast media and other medications with appropriate clinical education.
- Perform all other duties assigned by management within job specifications.
- Notify Bio‑Med and other service engineers of equipment issues; perform and log QA/QC for equipment.
- Collect and document patient history, review image quality and forward timely to PACS.
- Initiate life support measures as appropriate.
- Minimum 3 years in a multi‑disciplined radiology department.
- Minimum 3 years knowledge of radiographic procedures and practices.
- Preferred experience in breast imaging and CT scan experience (required in certain positions).
- Graduate of an accredited Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology program (JRCERT).
- Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and hold post‑primary certification in at least one additional qualifying discipline.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and Florida state license for radiographers.
- Radiology certifications in two or more modalities within 90 days and Florida licensure required at time of hire.
- Additional preference for CT certification.
Up to 10%.
