Job SummaryBaptist Medical Center is currently looking to add a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to our Nuclear Medicine Department at Baptist Downtown, located in Jacksonville, FL. A Nuclear Medicine Technologist is responsible for providing patients with radioactive medication and operating imaging technology to track the radiation within the patient’s body. Their duties include sterilizing syringes, preparing patients for a scan, and processing image reports that indicate the presence of disease.
Shift: PRN weekends (Saturday & Sunday), 7:00 am–3:00 pm, performing Nuclear Medicine stress tests in the Heart Hospital.
Responsibilities- Perform high‑quality diagnostic procedures.
- Maintain knowledge of Florida rules and regulations regarding radiation control and radioactive materials.
- Protect patients, self, and others from unnecessary or excessive radiation exposure.
- Comply with mandatory education and health requirements.
Required: Vocational School.
Preferred: Associate’s Degree.
Experience- Customer Service Experience.
- Radioactive Material Experience.
- Knowledge of State and Federal regulations.
- Experience working in a hospital setting.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) – Required.
- Registered Technologist in Nuclear Medicine ARRT (N) – Required.
- Certified Nuclear Medical Technologist (CNMT) – Required or.
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certification (CPR) – Required.
- Licensed Nuclear Medical Technologist – Required.
