Primary Functions: This leadership role oversees all nursing associates at NCCJ, focusing on strategic planning, continuous improvement, evidence-based care, quality patient outcomes, and driving change when necessary. It involves developing the shared governance model for Nursing, collaborating with Nursing Leaders, Administrators, Medical Leadership, and physicians. The role models Nemours Standards of Behavior and supports the organization's Mission, Vision, and Values.

Essential Functions:

• Ensure quality, family-centered patient care by setting standards for practice, hiring, privileging, evaluating, and managing staff competency.
• Support growth of pediatric nursing care models and set standards for community pediatric nursing.
• Serve as liaison for NCCJ/FL nursing at community, state, and national levels.
• Oversee nursing services effectiveness and resource allocation.
• Participate in budget and salary discussions with leadership.
• Promote Nursing Shared Governance and evidence-based practice.
• Encourage research and sharing of findings to improve pediatric care.
• Foster integration of nursing practice, education, and research within the organization and community.
• Conduct staff performance appraisals and ensure regulatory compliance.

Master's of Science in Nursing required;
PhD or DNP preferred. Minimum 5 years pediatric nursing experience, leadership experience preferred. BLS certification from the American Heart Association. Active FL nursing license.
