PRN Mammography Technologist Float
Join Akumin® as a PRN Mammography Technologist Float and help perform screening and diagnostic mammography exams using advanced 2D/3D equipment. Provide a thorough patient history and information to support the interpreting Radiologist with accurate clinical context.
Specific Duties- Perform mammogram exams on patients.
- Obtain patient history, prior films/reports, and other required information (RIS/PACS, burn discs).
- Perform Quality Control (QC) required for FDA/ACR.
- Provide imaging support to other modalities in the center (x‑ray, bone density, etc).
- Work with mammogram letters (results/reminders).
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience required;
Associate's Degree preferred. - Certificate from a college or technical school.
- Mammography Program (state approved).
- ARRT (M).
- State license, if applicable.
- CPR certification.
- Valid state driver’s license, if applicable.
- Meet initial requirements under MQSA standards.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Organizational and multi‑tasking skills.
- Basic computer knowledge.
Employee will be exposed to a strong magnetic field and may be exposed to blood/body fluids and infectious disease.
More than 50% of the time: sit, stand, walk; repetitive hand, arm, leg movements; see, speak, and hear to communicate with patients.
Less than 50% of the time: stoop, kneel or crawl; climb and balance; carry and lift (ability to move non‑ambulatory patients from a sitting or lying position for transfer or to exam).
