FairchildHR is leading the search for an Investment Accountant to support the financial stewardship of the Foundation’s invested assets and donor funds. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented accounting professional who enjoys working with investments, financial reporting, and complex reconciliations while supporting a mission-driven organization.

This position works closely with the Vice President, Finance, investment advisors, and internal leaders to ensure accurate accounting, reporting, and compliance related to the Foundation’s investment portfolios.

• Perform investment accounting and portfolio reconciliations for pooled and non-pooled investment accounts, ensuring accurate reporting of invested assets
• Manage cash management and fund accounting processes
  , including donor-directed investment allocations across multiple investment pools
• Serve as liaison with investment advisors and banking partners
  , supporting documentation, reporting, and compliance with investment policy statements
• Monitor portfolio performance and investment results
  , preparing quarterly reporting for the Investment Committee and leadership
• Track program-related investments
  , assist with financial due diligence, and support audit and financial statement reporting related to investments

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required (Associate’s degree with relevant experience considered)
• Knowledge of alternative investments or investment accounting is a plus
• Familiarity with US GAAP as it relates to investments preferred
• Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills
• Experience with accounting systems and Microsoft Office 365
• Ability to learn and utilize platforms such as Salesforce and Sage Intacct
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Professional, collaborative approach with the ability to work independently
