Role DescriptionThis is a full-time Hybrid role for an Accounting Manager, located in Jacksonville, FL. The Accounting Manager will oversee the preparation of financial statements, perform financial analysis, manage journal entries, oversee fixed asset accounting, and support general finance-related activities. The role includes ensuring compliance with regulations and contributing to the financial health of the organization by maintaining accurate and timely records.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
- Prepare accounts payable, payroll, general ledger activities, account reconciliations, journal entries, and financial statement preparation, including KPI’s
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal accounting policies, and applicable regulatory requirements
- Develop, implement, and maintain effective internal controls and accounting procedures
- Review and analyze financial results, identifying trends, variances, and areas of risk or improvement
- Coordinate with external auditors and support annual audit and tax processes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Finance, Treasury, Operations, Sales, Account Management, Clinical, HR, and Provider Relations
- Support system enhancements, process improvements, and special projects as needed
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred)
- 5–8 years of progressive accounting experience, including working with multiple departments and executives
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements
- Experience with ERP systems and advanced proficiency in Excel
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills with the ability to partner across departments
- Public or corporate accounting background
- Healthcare industry experience preferred
