We are currently seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead and enhance our finance and accounting operations. This is a key leadership role, responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial management, trust compliance, billing operations, and strategic planning in a dynamic and fast-paced legal environment.

- Lead the firm’s annual budget process and variance analysis and manage payroll processing, bonus administration & compliance.
- Lead monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial close processes and analyze profitability by practice group, attorney & matter.
- Oversee general ledger, accruals, and reconciliations and develop financial forecasts and models for business decisions.
- Lead and mentor accounting team, fostering a culture of excellence, develop SOPs and implement training programs.
- Oversee payroll tax filings, coordinate with external CPA firms, and ensure timely 1099 filings and vendor compliance.
- Prepare financial statements, income and cash flow reports for leadership and maintain cash flow strategies and optimize liquidity.
- Oversee trust account reconciliations and manage audits and ensure compliance with IOLTA and Florida Bar trust rules.
- Implement and monitor internal controls for client funds and serve as point of contact for trust-related audits and inquiries.
- Oversee billing processes utilizing Aderant Expert and monitor WIP, AR, aging and lead collection initiatives.
- Drive improvements in billing practices and operational efficiency and collaborate with attorneys to improve realization & collections.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field (CPA preferred)
- Minimum of 6+ years of accounting experience, law firm experience required.
- Strong experience with Aderant, Excel, legal billing systems and trust accounting.
