About the Role

As a Financial Planning and Analysis Specialist II for Daimler Coaches North America (DCNA), you will play a critical role in driving the financial success of our Coach operations in North America. You will support comprehensive financial planning, reporting, and analysis activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance across all financial processes. Acting as the primary liaison between DCNA, DTNA, Daimler Buses Germany personnel, and our valued customers, you will provide expert guidance on all financial aspects associated with the business.

You will perform in‑depth financial analyses to identify trends, variances, risks, and opportunities for improving DCNA’s financial performance and operational efficiency. Additionally, you will prepare and present clear, concise financial reports and recommendations to management, supporting strategic decision‑making and continuously seeking process improvements and automation opportunities to enhance the accuracy, timeliness, and value of financial data and reporting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support financial reporting and verification processes for the importation of motor coach parts from Europe and sales in the US, coordinating with DCNA, DTNA, and Daimler Buses personnel.
  • Track and reconcile DCNA parts inventory accounts and fixed‑assets accounts in coordination with DTNA Accounting staff.
  • Manage vendor setup, invoicing, and account statement review for DCNA parts and services.
  • Support month‑end close processes for parts‑related entries and verify inter‑company transactions.
  • Generate financial reports to support DCNA executive management.
  • Continuously review financial processes and implement continuous‑improvement initiatives.
  • Provide support to the CFO as needed to achieve DCNA goals.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related discipline required; advanced degree and 3+ years of experience desirable.
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem‑solving skills; high accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of basic accounting and IFRS principles.
  • Proficiency with financial systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP systems); experience with cbFC a plus.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Self‑starter able to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment.
  • Integrative approach with cross‑functional mindset.
  • High integrity, honesty, and accountability.
  • Resume required.
Preferred
  • Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration.
  • Professional certification such as CPA or CMA.
  • Knowledge of Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx, Think‑Cell.
  • Experience in automotive or heavy‑duty manufacturing, aftermarket controlling, or similar areas.
  • German language skills.
  • Experience working with a start‑up transforming into a profit‑generating entity.
Benefits and Compensation

Salary range: $78,000 – $100,000 USD (dependent on knowledge, skills, and experience).
