Sr Business Development Director

Overview

We are seeking a Senior National Business Development Lead for the Federal Sector of our Environmental Team to join one of our major hub offices. This role will lead business development opportunities nationwide for our Federal Market. You will work with a multidisciplinary team of scientists and engineers to lead business development opportunities in the federal market. The Environment and Sustainability group at Atkins

Réalis focuses on independent science‑based projects as well as project support for the engineering disciplines.

Business Development

• You will lead business development efforts across the nation with a focus on federal related projects in various markets.
• You will grow relationships and work with existing and new clients.
• You will coordinate with the various internal business groups on win work themes and strategy to grow the environmental portfolio of work.

• You will manage projects from both internal and external clients, balance workloads, and adhere to client expectations, budgets, and schedules.

• B.S., B.A., M.S., in a field of Science such as Environmental Science, Marine Science, Biology, Ecology, or other related natural science. Typical incumbent has at least 20 years' experience.
• Desire and ability to lead business development efforts, develop and maintain client relationships, as well as lead and deliver work.
• Current relationships with potential clients is a strong preference but not required.
• Leverage US and global resources to win work.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, technical writing, computer and communication skills required.
• Project management experience for environmental projects such as execution and preparation of scope of work, budgets, and schedules.
• Position requires driving a company vehicle; incumbent must have valid driver's license and a driving record that meets company policy.
• Travel will be required, but infrequent (~10%)
• Hybrid work environment typically requires two to three days in office.

Expected compensation range is between $200,000 - $220,000 annually depending on skills, experience, and geographical location
