Electrical Product Engineer - Power Equipment

Overview

Electrical Product Engineer - Power Equipment position at Industrial Electric Mfg. (IEM).

• Primary point of contact (POC) and subject matter expert (SME) for medium and/or low voltage power distribution products.
• Test and qualify new products and processes, and support their transition into manufacturing.
• Coordinate and manage new product introduction schedules and activities, and address cross-product issues throughout the product lifecycle.
• Organize, prepare, finalize and maintain documentation for production and commercial use.
• Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Operations, Engineering, and other internal departments to align Product Engineering activities.
• Coordinate with vendors for product maintenance, including obsolescence and redesign; develop action plans with internal teams to support maintenance needs.
• Provide engineering leadership throughout the product lifecycle.

• Competency with medium voltage and/or low voltage switch gear design and manufacturing, including knowledge of standards (UL 67, 891, 1558, 1008; ANSI C37.20; NEC/CEC).
• Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities.
• Strong collaboration skills and ability to work through ambiguity.
• Proven track record of cross-disciplinary teamwork.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, especially Word and Excel.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

The salary range for this role is $83,600.00 - $ per year, based on location, experience, and qualifications.
