3D Designer

3D Designer (Entry-Level to Junior)
Location: Jacksonville, FL area (local candidates preferred)
Compensation: $26/hr; up to $27-28/hr. based on relevant experience
Work Model: Onsite

A growing organization is seeking multiple 3D Designers to support the creation of highly customized technical components used in specialized procedures. This role focuses on producing precise digital models while collaborating with internal teams to ensure technical and regulatory requirements are met.

This position is well-suited for candidates with strong CAD modeling skills and a background in industrial design, product design, or a related technical field.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create precise 3D digital models for customized technical components and assemblies
• Interpret technical requirements and translate them into manufacturable designs
• Collaborate with engineering and cross-functional teams to ensure accuracy and functionality
• Apply regulatory and internal design standards to all work
• Depict technical features clearly to support manufacturing and product use
• Participate in testing and validation activities to verify performance and usability
• Maintain accurate project files and design documentation
• Develop familiarity with product workflows and technical requirements

Required Qualifications:

• Associate degree in Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related technical field; or equivalent technical training and experience
• Experience using 3D CAD software to design physical components or products
• Ability to interpret technical requirements and produce detailed 3D models
• Experience collaborating on technical or design projects

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design, Engineering, or related discipline
• Experience with CAD tools such as Solid Works, Rhino, Onshape, Fusion 360, or similar
• Product or industrial design experience involving physical prototypes or manufacturing
• Exposure to regulated design environments or safety-critical products
• Experience with rapid prototyping, 3D printing, or model fabrication
• Familiarity with anatomy or highly detailed technical structures

Additional Notes:

• A portfolio demonstrating relevant design work will be requested during the interview process.
• Candidates with experience designing manufacturable products are encouraged to apply.
• Local candidates are preferred.
