What You’ll DoAs a Navy Civil Engineer Corps Officer, you’ll gain hands‑on leadership and technical experience across multiple disciplines:
- Lead construction of everything from runways and bridges to ports and facilities.
- Supervise and manage utilities and other critical infrastructure.
- Direct skilled Seabee construction teams on missions worldwide.
- Oversee contracts worth millions and serve as the Navy’s point of contact with civilian contractors.
- Manage budgets, schedules, and approve completed projects.
You could focus in:
- Contract Management – overseeing civilian contractors and multimillion‑dollar projects.
- Public Works – running shore facilities as large as cities, from utilities to repairs.
- Construction Battalions (Seabees) – leading up to 600 enlisted Seabees on construction in support of both humanitarian relief and military missions.
