Field Service Engineer

Position Level

• Junior Field Service Engineer (4 years experience)
• Senior Field Service Engineer (>9 years experience)
• Team Leader (>14 years experience)

Highest Level Of Education Achieved:
High School / GED, Vocational, Associate's Degree, Bachelor's degree, Graduate degree, PHD.

This role requires 100% daily travel to new job sites and 50% (or less) travel out of town.

• Currently or previously worked for an industrial systems integrator as a Field Service Engineer (heavily weighted experience)
• Experience with mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
• Able to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
• Able to make minor modifications to Allen-Bradley controllers and HMIs (heavily weighted experience)
• Able to make minor modifications to Siemens controllers and HMIs (heavily weighted experience)
• Knowledge of Omron, Telemecanique, Mitsubishi, GE Fanuc, PLC Direct, or any other controller
• Able to make minor modifications to SCADA systems such as Ignition by Inductive Automation, Factory Talk View, FTV Plant
  
  PAx, ICONICS Genesis
  32/64, iFix, Wonderware, VTScaada, WinCC, Citect, or any other SCADA software experience (heavily weighted experience)
• Knowledge of or experience with servos drives and robotics such as Parker SSD Drives (Eurotherm), Allen Bradley, IAI (Intelligent Actuator), Yaskawa / Motoman, Schneider Electric, Universal Robots, Fetch Robotics, Omron Adept, Mitsubishi, Siemens, Staubli, Fanuc, AUBO, KUKA, ABB, MiR
• Knowledge of or experience with DCS:
  Factory Talk View, Control Logix and Plant
  
  PAx, Fisher PROVOX, Moore APACS, Siemens
• Experience with industrial networks (Ethernet/IP, Profibus, etc.) (heavily weighted experience)
• Knowledge of or experience with industrial communication protocols (OPC, Modbus, TCP/IP, etc.)
• Knowledge of or experience with motion control systems
• Experience with troubleshooting field wiring and equipment (heavily weighted experience)
• Experience installing and commissioning industrial control systems
• A basic understanding of networking: routing, switching, setting/finding IP addresses
