Position

We are seeking an Electronics Technician 2 to join our Security and Electronic Systems (SES) business unit. As part of the (SES) Strategic Business Unit, you will be part of a team that designs, engineers, integrates, operates, and maintains electronic security services including intrusion detection, access control, biometric authentication, video surveillance, audiovisual, IT systems, perimeter defense, and command and control systems for federal, local, and commercial customers across high-growth markets.

Responsibilities

Executes various technical tasks within field operations. Performs on-site installations, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of equipment and systems. Ensures functionality and reliability of technologies. Key duties include site surveys, configuring hardware and software, testing systems for proper operation, and providing technical support to customers. Field Technicians must possess strong problem-solving skills, technical proficiency, and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members.

  • Utilizes and comprehends project Safety plan (JHA, AHA, PFW), enforcing adherence to M.C. Dean handbook and policies.
  • Analyzes and interprets complete M.C. Dean drawing packages to assess constructability, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Verifies correct charges in timesheets on projects, executing installation and maintenance activities within planned durations.
  • Tracks and inventories tools, conducts tool inspections, and performs daily tool inventory.
  • Participates in 10-minute daily ORM meetings, ensuring safety requirements are met.
  • Participates in PITCO plan creation and build-out, executing plan to include testing to verify high quality.
  • Installs system raceway, cabling, equipment racks, enclosures, panels, and mounting hardware, ensuring proper grounding and NEC adherence.
  • Terminates, tests, and configures electronic devices, network and IT equipment.
  • Racks and stacks head end equipment, terminates and performs cable terminations and accessories to industry standards.
  • Communicates consistently with MC Dean Project Teams, demonstrating dedication, punctuality, and preparedness for work.
  • Collaborates with internal and external customers, accepts feedback constructively.
  • Plans and prioritizes tasks, aligning with the M.C. Dean vision, mission, and values.
  • Surveys and documents existing field conditions, providing feedback and recommendations to the project team.

Qualifications

Clearance/Citizen Type: Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements, including U.S. Citizenship, for access to classified information; ACTIVE SECRET Clearance is REQUIRED.

Education

  • HS diploma or GED;
    Military Electronics Training (minimum 720 classroom hours)

Required Progressive Experience

  • 4+ years of electronics installation and/or maintenance on multiple systems and programs
  • Strong oral, written, and presentation skills
  • Experience working with multidisciplinary teams
  • Strong time management and organizational skills to meet deadlines and quality objectives
