About the Position
We are searching for a Senior Project Manager to join our growing Environmental Services team in Florida. The ideal candidate will have 15+ years of experience as an environmental consultant and/or environmental regulatory agent, with a preference for experience in renewable energy, oil & gas, transportation, or federal projects. In this role, the Senior Project Manager will oversee staff in our Tampa and/or Jacksonville offices, where we conduct a wide range of environmental studies, such as wetland delineations, threatened and endangered species surveys, NPDES inspections, and Phase I/II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs).
You will also be responsible for document production, including technical reports, NEPA documents, and permit applications. As a mentor to our dynamic team of environmental professionals, you will support a variety of multidisciplinary projects, interface with clients, and contribute to proposal development. The ideal candidate will have experience with jurisdictional wetland and water delineations, as well as protected species habitat assessments and surveys.
You should be familiar with federal, state, and local permitting and mitigation support and have the ability to manage schedules and environmental special studies effectively. Additionally, you will coordinate with interdisciplinary teams of designers and environmental subject matter experts (SMEs) on various infrastructure projects. Experience with specific clients or projects, such as GDOT, FDOT, FDEP, Corps of Engineers, EPA, Energy , Renewables , or Federal Projects is highly preferred.

- BS in relevant environmental discipline
- Demonstrated experience leading ecology field tasks (e.g., water/wetland delineations, protected species surveys, erosion compliance inspections, etc.) and preparing associated technical documentation
- Must have a working knowledge of wetland science, flora/fauna and ecosystems of the southeastern US, and relevant regulatory requirements
- Physically able to travel and conduct field work on various project sites with challenging field conditions such as steep terrain, thick vegetation, and inclement weather
- While field work is not a major component of this position, the ability to support may be required
- Excellent technical writing and communication skills with ability to deliver complete and clean documents
- Willingness to travel as projects require to include occasional overnight travel
- Relevant certifications such as Professional Wetland Scientist, Professional Wildlife Biologist, or Certified Ecologist would be viewed favourably
- Ability to work well within a team environment, positive attitude, multi-task, and self-motivated to produce high quality work
- Ability and desire to learn and grow professionally
