As the Water/Wastewater Project Manager, you will lead project teams on water‑related Design‑Build projects across the region. Your role will protect precious resources, support business development, and promote growth in the local marketplace.
Responsibilities- Responsible for overall project delivery (cost, schedule, quality, information, contracts) on one or multiple project assignments.
- Implement the Design‑Build process, including alternatives, cost estimating, risk quantifications, supply chain selection, project budgets, schedules, and all other commercial aspects of project management.
- Manage project development from conception to completion for both large and small programs in accordance with program objectives.
- Manage budgets, schedules, scope development, design and construction contracts, documents, procedures and controls for assigned projects.
- Oversee the review and approval of consultant invoices, contractor pay applications and change orders, coordinating with Control Manager for proper reporting.
- Attend project meetings and document progress, issues, and action items.
- Resolve complex construction‑related issues, disputes, and disagreements.
- Review status and monitor variances of the construction project database relative to scheduling and cost control reporting.
- Communicate effectively with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Multitask and thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or related discipline OR 15+ years of experience in the field to satisfy the degree requirement.
- Ten or more years of experience in Design‑Build of water, wastewater, water resources and/or conveyance projects.
- Certification as a Construction Manager (CCM), Professional Engineer (PE), or Architect preferred.
- Willingness to travel as required.
- Physical capability to perform duties including standing, walking, climbing, stooping, kneeling, and handling heavy or hazardous materials typical of water and wastewater design‑build environments.
