Assistant Project Manager – Water Design Build

Jacobs is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to combine project engineering skills with leadership, client interface, and financial management for large, complex construction projects in Florida.

$92,100 – $143,950 per year.

• Assist the Design-Build Project Manager in all aspects of construction delivery.
• Coordinate subcontractors throughout construction, commissioning, closeout, and turnover to the owner.
• Track and process Change Orders, owner invoices, and subcontractor invoicing.
• Ensure quality levels are met at the trade level and support overall quality management.
• Manage project submittals, requests for changes, design changes, and nonconformance notices.
• Provide input to the overall project schedule, including 3‑week look‑ahead schedules.
• Participate in risk management and mitigation throughout the project life cycle.
• Manage the receipt, storage, and handling of process equipment.
• Lead and manage project engineering staff and oversee the closeout process.
• Develop skills to progress to a Project Manager or Construction Manager role.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in construction projects.
• Experience delivering municipal water, wastewater, water resources, or conveyance projects.
• Working knowledge of construction systems, contract management, project delivery methods, and client relationship building.
• Experience with Alternative Project Delivery, including design‑build, progressive design‑build, or construction‑manager‑at‑risk.
