Overview
This position is in support of the Strategic Partnership program, based out of Jacksonville, FL.
This is a Supervisor of Planning position in support of the Strategic Sourcing Supplier Partnership efforts at BAE Ship Repair.
The successful candidate filling this position will be required to manage and oversee planners that perform Production Control Planning, Detail Planning, and have an understanding of material control and warehouse functions. Additionally, will be responsible for the training and development of the planning personnel. The candidate will be required to assist the planning team, and operations management with material coordination, warehouse picks and expediting material to and from off‑site buffers.
Candidate must have an understanding of new construction work orders and be willing to work within the constructs on memorandums of agreement (MOA’s). Candidate will need to have an understanding of the SPARS & VReq/Order Purchase Process in order to perform these functions, successful candidates will require interfacing with operations, engineering, design, material systems, configuration management, quality, and other support organizations at various levels.
The successful candidate filling this position will be called upon to represent planning at various construction status, process improvement, and program meetings. The successful candidate will be expected to be in compliance with safety, quality, cost, schedule, and process improvement.
Qualifications Required- High School diploma / GED or equivalent required.
- 5+ years in EB planning in both new construction or delivered ships.
- Working leader, substitute supervisor, or supervisor experience
- Electronic Desktop/PCM & Team Center Experience.
- Employee may be required to work other than normal duty hours, to include evenings, weekends, and/or holidays. Shift work and emergency overtime may be required.
- Hazmat training a plus.
- Past experience working in Naval Shipyard environment preferred.
- College degree desirable.
- Working knowledge of MRPII, Artemis.
- Multidiscipline Planning experience is desired.
- Must be able to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance or higher.
- Experience as a site planner/planning lead, both new construction and delivered ships.
- Experience in all phases of Planning
- Computer skills in Word, Excel, Power Point, Cornerstone, ERS/EWP, MRPii, and Microsoft Outlook are necessary to successfully perform this assignment.
- Employee may be required to work other than normal duty hours, to include evenings, weekends, and/or holidays. Shift work and emergency overtime may be required.
- The successful candidate will be expected to know, comply with and participate in site improvement goals for Safety, Quality, Cost, Schedule and Continuous Improvement
- The candidate must demonstrate the ability to set priority tasking for the planning team
- Have familiarity with Team Center
- Experience in Detail, Production Control, and Advance planning Experience both in new construction, and delivered ship planning
- Well-developed verbal and written communication skills are required.
- The candidate must possess strong analytical, causal analysis, communication, organizational, planning, and writing skills under minimal supervision.
- Electronic Desktop/PCM & Team Center Experience.
