Job Title: Mechanical Engineer
Location: Panama City, FL (Tyndall AFB)
Salary: Based on experience and will be discussed with manager.
Requirements- Must be a US Citizen and must pass a federal background review and drug screen.
- Provide engineering services on multiple simultaneous federal projects ranging in value from tens to hundreds of millions of dollars in construction value.
- Experience with large Federal Building Design, Medical Building Design, and/or Construction Projects, or other complex projects. Large defined as construction value at least $100 million or more.
- Responsible for site observation and reporting on multiple assigned projects to government personnel.
- Provide technical and administrative support.
- Oversee construction, contract administration, and quality assurance activities in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Analyze design and construction issues with respect to contract requirements.
- Deliver recommendations to government personnel regarding compliance with contract provisions.
- Review and interpret plans and specifications, submittals, reports, schedules, modifications, cost estimates, pay applications, change orders and claims.
- Provide field surveillance and prepare daily detailed reports covering all pertinent factors affecting cost and engineering considerations.
- Participate in pre-construction conferences with government personnel.
- Emphasis on knowledge and experience with HVAC systems, system controls, building automation, chilled water, plumbing, humidification, data centers, and other complex mechanical-engineering elements found in large buildings and utility plants.
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or related field from an accredited college (preferred).
- Minimum of 10 years of engineering, construction, and contract administration experience.
- Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) preferred.
- Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) or other federal project experience preferred.
- Experience using RMS 3.0 preferred.
- Proficiency and effective communication skills in English, both oral and written.
- Professional presentation and excellent communication skills with attention to detail.
