Job Title: Mechanical Engineer

Location: Panama City, FL (Tyndall AFB)

Salary: Based on experience and will be discussed with manager.

• Must be a US Citizen and must pass a federal background review and drug screen.

• Provide engineering services on multiple simultaneous federal projects ranging in value from tens to hundreds of millions of dollars in construction value.
• Experience with large Federal Building Design, Medical Building Design, and/or Construction Projects, or other complex projects.  Large  defined as construction value at least $100 million or more.
• Responsible for site observation and reporting on multiple assigned projects to government personnel.
• Provide technical and administrative support.
• Oversee construction, contract administration, and quality assurance activities in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Analyze design and construction issues with respect to contract requirements.
• Deliver recommendations to government personnel regarding compliance with contract provisions.
• Review and interpret plans and specifications, submittals, reports, schedules, modifications, cost estimates, pay applications, change orders and claims.
• Provide field surveillance and prepare daily detailed reports covering all pertinent factors affecting cost and engineering considerations.
• Participate in pre-construction conferences with government personnel.
• Emphasis on knowledge and experience with HVAC systems, system controls, building automation, chilled water, plumbing, humidification, data centers, and other complex mechanical-engineering elements found in large buildings and utility plants.

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or related field from an accredited college (preferred).
• Minimum of 10 years of engineering, construction, and contract administration experience.
• Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) preferred.
• Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) or other federal project experience preferred.
• Experience using RMS 3.0 preferred.
• Proficiency and effective communication skills in English, both oral and written.
• Professional presentation and excellent communication skills with attention to detail.
