This opportunity is available at any location in the United States. Ideally, selected candidates will be near a Jacobs U.S. based office, but we intend to hire the best candidates.

As a Senior Structural Engineer professional within our Advanced Manufacturing team, you’ll work on a variety of Data Center projects—including new builds, retrofits, colocations, and more—performing various aspects of structural engineering assignments while increasing your expertise in design methods and tools.

• Perform a variety of structural analysis for data center projects.
• Create computer models for structures using CAD software.
• Perform member design and foundation calculations, material take‑offs for estimating, prepare miscellaneous calculations, and assist with schedules.
• Coordinate designs with other Jacobs offices, both domestic and international.
• Collaborate with a diverse team of engineers and designers on capital projects of various sizes.
• Grow technically and professionally by expanding leadership roles within the organization.

• Bachelor of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• 8 or more years of professional experience in structural engineering.
• Registered Professional Engineer with the ability to become registered in additional states.
• Knowledge of CAD software such as Auto Cad, Revit, Micro Station, and S3D.
• Proficiency with structural analysis software such as RISA or STAAD.
• Knowledge and application of ACI, AISC, ASCE 7, AIST Technical Report 13, and other industry‑relevant design codes and standards.
• Knowledge and application of Building Codes.
• Proficiency with MS Office suite, including MS Teams for remote coordination.
• Ability to travel to client sites (approximately 10% to 20% travel).

• Master of Science in Engineering.
• Experience with industrial metals projects, including casting and rolling operations or similar heavy industrial projects.
• Ability to lead teams to deliver commitments on schedule and on budget while meeting quality and client expectations.
