Responsibilities- Provide leadership and technical expertise in project execution.
- Work directly with engineering and construction leaders across the organization.
- Deliver innovative solutions in wastewater management.
- Interact with a diverse range of stakeholders, including clients, company management, project engineers, and industry‑leading Design Builders.
- Lead the delivery of high‑quality projects that exceed client expectations while ensuring profitability and championing our safety culture.
- Develop execution plans for projects, including scope, fee, schedule, quality, health and safety, risk management, and change management plans.
- Negotiate and manage sub‑agreements, track, control and report on project performance, ensure timely invoicing and cash collection.
- Provide technical guidance for deliverables, develop, mentor and empower the project team.
- Support the Business Development Manager and Client Service Managers in developing and expanding opportunities with existing and new clients.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Civil, Environmental or Chemical Engineering.
- Licensed Professional Engineer or ability to obtain within 12 months.
- At least 15 years of engineering design and management of municipal wastewater projects.
- Demonstrated experience managing the technical, contractual and financial risks associated with large/complex wastewater projects, including under alternative delivery models.
- Significant PM experience in multi‑disciplinary projects and/or portfolio management or multi‑project management, including project planning, scheduling, estimating and budgeting, progress and performance monitoring and reporting.
- Proven experience in preliminary design, detailed design and contract administration/ construction management on wastewater projects.
- Demonstrated leadership skills to effectively manage diverse teams.
- Adept at driving compliance with the contract agreement as well as exercising rigid cost control to implement the approved design within established budget restraints.
- Advanced understanding of water and wastewater treatment engineering concepts and ability to communicate ideas to others.
- Completion of formal PM training in an accredited program that aligns with the requirements of Certified Project Management bodies (e.g., PMI) is an asset.
