MANTECH seeks a motivated, career customer-oriented Tactical Aviation Subject Matter Expert to join our team in Jacksonville, FL This is a Hybrid position.
This position will support the continued development of the Navy’s Network Enabled Weapons (NEW) development of mission planning tools, liaise with Fleet tacticians and training mentors/assessors, and establish training plans for current and emerging capabilities.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Develop and deliver training programs for fleet training, including Weaponeering, Mission Planning, Flight Training, and Controls and Display training.
Analyze, review, and generate instructor training to support Fleet aircrew.
Create and manage flight clearance products, including researching, developing, and delivering new or updated documentation.
Coordinate with warfare development centers, weapon schools, and joint entities to ensure complementary technical and tactical information development.
Conduct fleet aircrew training and "Train-the-Trainer" presentations.
Support the development and delivery of capabilities briefs to inform senior leadership and headquarters staffs on the current and emerging capabilities.
Support exercise planning and execution to support Fleet integration and training of advanced capabilities which prepare geographic combatant commands for the fielding of NEW capabilities.
Maintain configuration control of source documentation, legacy publications, and current publications.
Hybrid work is primary but frequent access to base for some tasking throughout the week and travel to various fleet locations is expected.
Bachelors Degree
8+ years experience as a Fixed Wing Navy or Marine Corps Aviator or Naval Flight Officer, Weapon System Officer.
Subject matter expertise level knowledge and experience of tactics employment of weapons by fleet aircrew.
Must be a United States citizen.
8+ years of recent professional experience with tactical naval aircraft or aircraft tactical weapons systems employment is required.
Comprehensive operational expertise with Navy Air Warfare doctrine and tactics and naval aviation weapons and mission systems.
12+ years of experience as a Fixed Wing Navy or Marine Corps Aviator or Naval Flight Officer, Weapon System Officer.
Weapons School TOPGUN or similar qualification.
12+ years of recent professional experience with tactical naval aircraft or aircraft tactical weapons systems employment is required.
Weapons Tactics Instructor (WTI) graduate of the Navy Fighter Weapons School (TOPGUN), Marine Aviation Weapons Training Squadron-I (MAWTS-1), Carrier Airborne Early Warning Weapons School (CAEWWS), Electronic Attack Weapons School (EAWS), or Maritime Patrol and Reconnaissance Weapons School (MPRWS).
Experience with aircrew mission planning efforts and JMPS Software.
Familiarity with NATOPS/NATIP products and NAVAIR ACO Airworthiness certification processes.
Ability to work effectively with Fleet aircrew and various Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) and other command processes.
- Must be a US Citizen and possess a current/active Secret Security Clearance and ability to obtain a Top Secret Clearance
Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.
Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.
The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers.
Tasking and product deadlines may require a surge to support periods of full onsite work.
