Responsibilities- Conduct investigations, perform site observations, review submittals, and complete analysis and design calculations.
- Execute and manage the preparation of drawings and specifications.
- Mentor junior staff and manage project budgets and schedules.
- Interact with clients and prepare technical reports.
- Analyze and design structural elements for commercial, industrial, and food processing facilities, including foundations, mat slabs, structural steel framing, tilt‑up walls, precast concrete structures, concrete design, masonry walls, wood design, and light‑gauge metal framing.
- Prepare contract documents, calculations, observation reports, and estimates.
- Working knowledge of building codes and standards such as IBC, FBC, ASCE‑7, AISC, ACI.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, RAM Structural System, RISA‑3D, Enercalc, and Excel.
- Ability to interpret codes, insurance underwriter requirements, and client‑specific standards.
- Experience in proposal development, scope and man‑hour estimating.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and provide cost‑effective solutions.
- Master’s degree in Structural Engineering from an ABET‑accredited university with a minimum of 15 years’ experience.
- Professional engineer license in CA, IL, NY, and Washington is a plus.
