Job Description

AECOM Hunt is seeking a Construction Project Engineer – MEP to be based in Jacksonville, FL
. The role supports the planning, coordination, and oversight of construction activities related to MEP systems.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in overseeing activities of construction crafts/trades within an assigned area of responsibility.
  • Receive continual supervision and direction in the performance of assigned responsibilities.
  • Receive technical and operational direction from the assigned Superintendent or Project Manager.
  • Assist with the planning and coordination of subcontractor activities within the area of responsibility.
  • Monitor subcontractor personnel to ensure adherence with project plans and promote quality control of all installations.
  • Enforce policies, procedures and related work rules as established by Field Management.
  • Assist with compliance of the AECOM Hunt safety program that creates a safe and healthy work environment on the jobsite.
  • Work with document control systems, project management systems and other software or databases to keep information flow up-to-date and accurate, including updating drawings, RFIs, submittals, meeting minutes and other documents as required.
  • Interface with client, architect, and design professionals to ensure compliance to design intent and client satisfaction.
  • Contribute to building good communications between field management, project management, subcontractors, suppliers, vendors, and specialty contractors to ensure construction complies with plans, specifications, and company quality standards.
  • Continuously expand and update professional knowledge and hone training skills to enhance individual and team innovation and productivity.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements
  • Candidate must have completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Building Technology, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or have demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting large complex projects (stadiums, sports facilities, arenas).
  • Experience in construction in Mechanical, Electrical, Piping or Fire Protection.
  • Experience working in an MEP environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret MEP drawings.
  • Applicable OSHA certification(s).
  • Prior internship experience within the construction industry.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Bluebeam, AutoCAD/Revit.

Compensation – $24.95 to $43.66 hourly, based on education, qualifications, experience and work location.
