Job OverviewThe Project Engineer 1, is an integral part of the Scarlett Groups technical team, supporting the implementation and maintenance of IT projects for our clients. The role involves hands-on tasks, troubleshooting, and collaborating with senior engineers to deliver exceptional solutions.
Responsibilities & Duties- Assist in project planning, execution, and monitoring.
- Work closely with senior engineers to implement project tasks.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to hardware, software, and networks.
- Escalate complex problems to higher-tier engineers when necessary.
- Ensure timely resolution of client issues.
- Maintain accurate records of project activities, configurations, and changes.
- Create detailed technical documentation for clients and internal teams.
- Communicate project updates, milestones, and issues to clients.
- Address inquiries and provide excellent customer service.
- Participate in testing and quality checks for project deliverables.
- Validate functionality, security, and performance.
- Collaborate with senior engineers to improve processes.
- Assist in managing changes to project scope, timelines, and requirements.
- Document change requests and their impact.
- Ensure smooth transitions during project modifications.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Certifications such as CCNP, MCSE, Network+, Security+ or equivalent.
- Basic understanding of networking, operating systems, and IT infrastructure.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Eagerness to learn and grow within the MSP environment.
Physical Requirements
- The work environment for this position is a standard office setting.
- The employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, and use hands to operate a computer and other office equipment.
- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
