We are actively looking for a Coastal Engineer to join our Jacksonville office. As part of the Coastal Group, the Coastal Engineer assists with the planning and design for Urban Waterfront and Coastal Structures projects, including marinas, urban waterfront developments, beach nourishment, shore protection structures, cruise ship facilities, wetland restoration, dredging, and flood walls.

- Assists with leading and supporting planning and design for Waterfront and Coastal projects including shore protection structures, beaches, wetland restoration, piers, marinas, dredging, and flood walls
- Develop calculations, numerical models, and design documents to support engineering or environmental solutions
- Collaborate with other team members and clients to deliver effective project solutions
- Ensure project designs comply with federal, state, and local environmental regulations
- Successfully support ongoing Coastal / Water practice business development efforts working with contacts at EPA, Army Corps of Engineers, NOAA, Local Environmental agencies, as well as private sector clients
- Lead and assist engineers or scientists with site visits, inspections, and fieldwork, including instrument handling and deployment
- Participate in meetings and educational seminars

Qualifications:- Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Water Resources, and/or Coastal Engineering;
Master’s degree in Coastal Engineering (preferred) - Professional Engineer licensure is required; with the ability to obtain in the State of Florida via reciprocity within 6 months of hire
- 6+ years of industry experience
- Experience with ADCIRC/SWAN/MIKE and/or XBeach numerical models
- Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation)
- Availability and willingness to travel
