EnSafe is currently seeking a full‑time Environmental Project Manager Engineer/Geologist to join our team of professionals in one of our Florida offices. This role offers varied daily work. As an Environmental Project Manager, you will lead with 5-10 years of hand‑on practical experience in environmental investigations, assessments, and remediation projects, engaging with clients, regulators, and contractor oversight. In This Position, You Will
  • Manage and oversee project work associated with environmental investigations and remediation oversight under CERCLA, RCRA, and state‑specific guidance.
  • Lead technical teams working across multiple offices throughout the country, problem‑solving, preparing plans and specifications, and meeting with clients and subcontractors.
  • Communicate with clients, regulatory agencies, vendors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Develop work plans and/or sampling and analysis plans.
  • Conduct site investigation activities, including sampling of soil, groundwater, surface water, indoor air, vapor intrusion, soil gas, drinking water, and building materials.
  • Lead Phase I and Phase II environmental site assessments (ESAs).
  • Compile and interpret investigation data and write technical reports.
  • Evaluate the feasibility of technologies, design pilot/bench tests, and design and implement remedial/corrective actions.
  • Provide environmental compliance support to senior regulatory specialists, including data collection for permitting and/or registration, data analysis, regulatory compliance evaluation, and assessment.
  • Support marketing/business development efforts.
  • Project sites may include Superfund sites, large and complex federal facilities, or military installations, and commercial or industrial properties.
Minimum Skills and Requirements
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil, Chemical, or Environmental Engineering;
    Geology or Hydrogeology;
    Geoscience‑related degree.
  • EIT or GIT is required.
  • P.E. or P.G. certification is preferred.
    5–10 years of relevant experience in the field of environmental assessment/remediation.
  • Experience performing and/or reviewing Phase I ESAs.
  • Knowledge or experience in RCRA and CERCLA processes (RI/FS, RD/RA, ROD, LTM) and documentation.
  • HAZWOPER training and certification.
  • Valid driver’s license to operate a vehicle in the U.S.
  • Experience with federal projects and/or working with DoD/Navy projects is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft program products.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work well with dynamic project teams and mentor junior staff.
  • Critical thinking and problem‑solving skills.
  • Strong work ethic.
  • Ability to travel to support ongoing projects, including overnight stays (estimated 30 % regional travel).
  • Focus on responsiveness, quality of product, and service to maintain EnSafe client relationships.
