The Miami Marlins are seeking a dependable, detail‑oriented Hitting Machine Operator to support daily on‑field and cage operations, with a primary focus on operating the Trajekt pitching machine at their AAA Affiliate in Jacksonville. This role plays a key part in creating consistent, high‑quality hitting environments for players and will also involve preparation of opponent‑specific pitch data, visual simulation management, and basic use of a Rapsodo / Track Man unit paired with Trajekt.

This position is ideal for someone interested in player development, baseball technology, or gaining hands‑on experience in a professional baseball environment. While Trajekt operation is the top priority, this role may also assist with other baseball operations tasks as needed.

• Plan and prepare opponent‑specific pitch data within the Trajekt system to accurately replicate upcoming game competition
• Run the Trajekt pitching machine during daily hitting sessions, programming and adjusting pitch profiles to mirror upcoming opponents while adhering to organizational protocols and performance standards
• Upload, organize, and coordinate opponent video content within the Trajekt system to ensure hitters receive realistic and synchronized visual simulations
• Oversee the overall condition and functionality of the Trajekt machine, performing routine maintenance checks and addressing technical concerns in coordination with internal staff and Trajekt support when necessary
• Set up, calibrate, and pair Rapsodo / Track Man with Trajekt during designated sessions
• Assist with basic troubleshooting of Trajekt and Rapsodo / Track Man systems (training and support will be provided)
• Communicate with coaches and staff to meet daily hitting and drill needs
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe cage and equipment area

• Assist with general batting practice setup and breakdown
• Support other on‑field or baseball operations tasks as assigned
• Help transport, organize, or prepare equipment before and after workouts

• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
• Comfort working with technology and willingness to learn new systems
• Basic problem‑solving skills and ability to adapt in a fast‑paced environment
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours (including early mornings, nights, weekends, and game days as needed)
• Interest in baseball, player development, or sports technology preferred
• Prior experience with Trajekt, Rapsodo / Track Man, or similar systems is a plus, but not required

• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Ability to lift and move equipment as needed
• Comfortable working outdoors and in indoor cage environments

This position directly supports player development at the AAA level by helping create consistent, repeatable training environments and opponent‑specific preparation. The role plays an important part in translating advance scouting and pitch design data into actionable on‑field simulations. It offers hands‑on exposure to professional baseball operations and modern training technology while working closely with coaches and players.
