In the school year, the KIPP Jacksonville region will be comprised of four schools educating more than 3,000 students, kindergarten through twelfth grade in the North and West sides of Jacksonville, Florida.
- KIPP Impact Academy: Kindergarten - 4th grade, 6th - 8th grade
- KIPP VOICE Academy: Kindergarten - 8th grade
- KIPP Bessie Coleman Academy: Kindergarten - 8th grade
- KIPP Bold City High School: 9th - 12th grade
For the current school year, teachers at KIPP Jacksonville Public Schools work the following hours Monday through Friday and may have occasional meetings or special school events outside of these hours. Hours for teachers and students may vary slightly by school.
- K-8 Staff: 7:30am - 4:30pm K-8 Students: 8:00am - 3:30pm,
Wednesday K-8 dismissal at 1:30pm - High School Staff: 6:45am - 3:45pm,
High School Students: 7:15am - 2:30pm,
Wednesday High School dismissal at 12:30pm
Every Wednesday is a student early release day, which allows teachers to participate in weekly professional development and content team meetings. This does not include Wellness Wednesdays when all staff leave at student dismissal.

Job Description
KIPP Jacksonville Public Schools seeks to add capacity to our team with an additional physical education and health teacher. The P.E/Health teacher would instruct classes of 9th - 12th grade students. As the school grows, the teacher would instruct students across multiple grade levels and/or sections, and ideally run a club or enrichment block.
We are committed to providing a quality physical education and health program that will complement our rigorous academic program. This position will work closely with the electives department. Teachers are responsible for creating a positive classroom environment, implementing curriculum, assessing students, collaborating with their team, building relationships with families, and other duties as assigned. Full teacher responsibilities are ultimately outlined by their school leader.
Please note the location of Bold City High School is the McDuff campus located at 1440 McDuff Avenue North.
OUR CURRENT MODELThe model for the high school will change over time as more grade levels are added and the model is subject to change. Students have block schedules. Elective teachers may have a homeroom and will teach several classes in their department in addition to a club or enrichment block. Every student will be required to take one credit of physical education that incorporates health.
Any electives are selected by the school leader according to student interest and teacher certification area(s). Foreign language and elective teachers should apply through a separate posting.
