    : 7:30am - 4:30pm, K-8 Students: 8:00am - 3:30pm, Wednesday K-8 student dismissal at 1:30pm

    : 6:45am - 3:45pm, High School Students: 7:15am - 2:30pm, Wednesday High School student dismissal at 12:30pm.

Every Wednesday is a student early release day, allowing teachers to participate in weekly professional development and content team meetings. This does not include Wellness Wednesdays when all staff leave at student dismissal.

Job Description

KIPP Jacksonville Public Schools seeks a High School Physics Teacher for the  school year. Teachers will be responsible for at least one subject area and are responsible for creating a positive classroom environment, implementing curriculum, assessing students, collaborating with their team, building relationships with families, and other duties as assigned. Full teacher responsibilities are ultimately outlined by their school leader.

KIPP Bold City's vision is to be a high school built on student voice and choice. Bold City offers a variety of options for its students – including honors classes, Advanced Placement classes for all, and career/technical education. Classes are chosen based on student and family interest. As the school grows, we seek to add more career tracks as well as Dual Enrollment.

We also offer a variety of extracurriculars and sports to students. We seek teachers that are aligned to our philosophies around student voice and choice and are flexible to meet the interest areas of students.

Please note the location of Bold City High School is the McDuff campus located at 1440 McDuff Avenue North.

OUR CURRENT MODEL

The model for the high school will change over time as more grade levels are added and the model is subject to change. Core content areas at the high school level include science, history, ELA, and math. High school lead teachers will likely have a homeroom class and teach several classes in their subject area. While this is a typical teaching load, some teaching loads may vary.
