Duval County Public Schools is looking for a dedicated educator to serve students with Autism Spectrum Disorder.

Starting salary: $48,700. Additional Referendum money available for the next four years starting at $7,730 for the 25-26 school year; teachers hired during the school year will receive a prorated supplement based on the date of hire.

Guides the learning process toward the achievement of curriculum goals and establishes clear objectives for lessons, units, and projects. Employs a variety of instructional techniques and media, consistent with physical limitations and the needs of individual students or groups. Strives to implement the District's philosophy of education and instructional goals.

• Education:
  
  Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• Experience:
  
  None required. Salary is based on verified years of teaching experience.
• Certifications & Licenses:
  Must be eligible for Florida Department of Education Certification in an appropriate subject area.

• ESE Certified Behavior Analyst
  • Three (3) years successful teaching or work experience with students on the autism spectrum or with behaviorally complex needs.
  • Board certification as a Behavior Analyst AND Florida Department of Education teaching certification in at least one area of Exceptional Student Education, Guidance and Counseling, or School Psychology. Autism Spectrum Disorder Endorsement preferred.
• ESE Intervention Representative
  • Five (5) years successful classroom teaching experience in exceptional student education or a combination of exceptional/regular education teaching experience.
  • Background in behavior management techniques strongly recommended.
  • Florida Department of Education certification in at least one area of Exceptional Student Education, Administration/Supervision, or Educational Leadership.
• ESE Lead
  • Three (3) years experience working with students with disabilities.
  • Must be eligible for Florida Department of Education Certification in an appropriate subject area.
• ESE Site Coach
  • Three (3) years experience working with students with Emotional/Behavioral Disabilities/Autism.
  • Certification in at least one area of exceptional student education (for Autism positions, Autism certification or endorsement required) and one area of a core content area or K-6 Certification.

• Ability to plan and implement a program of study that meets the individual needs, interests, and abilities of students
