Job Description

AECOM Hunt has an exciting opportunity for a Construction Quality Manager to join our team in Jacksonville, FL.

The Quality Manager is a resource to the project team in project delivery, constructability, building technology, workflow, sequencing, and proper installation techniques. This position requires continuous prioritized training and mentoring by the QA/QC Vice President and other Quality Managers and Directors. The role participates in Submittal and Shop Drawings review, Initial Trade Pre‑Construction Meetings, Trade Pre‑installation meetings, and frequent job site walkthroughs and reporting.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Project Team to develop job‑specific quality procedures with the assistance of the Quality Department.
  • Participate in design reviews as required per Project with the assistance of the Quality Department.
  • Serve as a quality resource to the Project team in project delivery, constructability, building technology, and quality.
  • Work with trade contractors to develop and implement their trade contractor quality control plans.
  • Identify project risks through AECOM’s constructability review process and advise the project teams with options to eliminate or minimize those risks with the assistance of the Quality Department.
  • Identify opportunities to participate in education regarding trends affecting construction and quality.
  • Review work in the field, photographing and discussing the work in place with the project team.
  • Create reports for each job site walkthrough, giving directions and suggestions to correct work‑in‑place.
  • Assist with the Trade Contractor Job Specific Quality Plan reviews.
  • Be the liaison between the Trade Contractor Quality individual or team.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements
  • BA/BS Architecture, Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or Construction Management and 4 years of experience in the design and/or construction industry or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
  • Construction experience is required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Solid understanding of the construction delivery process.
  • Strong background and understanding of construction documentation.
  • Experience in interacting with Construction Team members and Tradespeople.
  • Have knowledge of various construction types and an understanding of building science concepts.
  • Experience with ASTM standards and knowledge of construction testing procedures.
  • Experience with building codes.
  • Self‑motivation and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience in building enclosures.
  • ASQ, IIBEC, CCQM, or similar certifications preferred.
  • OSHA 10.
