The Construction & Manufacturing Team supports all of Haskell's delivery groups across the company and the projects throughout the United States. The Construction & Manufacturing Team is responsible for providing the field management personnel, from the craft worker to the Project Superintendent. The team also provides logistical support; including per diem rates, company trucks for superintendents, and coordination of arrival for team members on the project.

It provides continual training for team members from entry-level craft workers to apprenticeship programs. Haskell supports career growth through training and hands-on experience.

Joining our Construction & Manufacturing Team will enable you to build the buildings on which people depend; collaborating with your team to overcome obstacles and fix problems on the job site. Strong networks are formed on construction projects because everyone on the team depends on each other to get the job done.

In this role, you will develop, implement, and maintain construction project schedules. You will plan and coordinate activities of designated projects to ensure goals are accomplished within the prescribed time frame. Proficiency with Primavera/P6, Time Impact Analysis (TIA), CPM scheduling (Critical Path Methods), Resource Loading, and Delay Analysis is required.

Job Responsibilities
  • Develop network logic diagrams, bar charts, and schedule reports to support project management, estimating, and business development
  • Manage the development of schedules for estimating as requested
  • Coordinate with the Project Manager on estimates to complete and cash flow projections for cost-loaded schedules
  • Develop project schedules for business development to be submitted with proposals
  • Maintain individual project schedules, including baseline reviews
  • Back up the project schedule
  • Manage resource and cost loading in the project schedule based on project requirements
  • Keep progress up-to-date in the project schedule
  • Monitor procurement and submittal schedule portions of the project schedule
  • Coordinate with the Superintendent to create a short-term look-ahead schedule
  • Attend the scheduling portion of project reviews, as required
  • Prepare project reports as requested
  • Confer with the project team to provide technical advice and resolve scheduling challenges
  • Assist in developing the schedule of values with Project Manager and estimators for cost-loaded schedules
  • Assist with training others and monitor their work for quality and completeness
Education/Experience
  • Four-year degree in engineering or construction management
  • 7 - 10 years of scheduling experience on large construction projects
  • Experience on water/wastewater projects or self-perform projects is a plus
Specific Knowledge, Skills, Licenses & Certifications
  • Proficiency in Primavera/P6 scheduling software including cost/resource loading and analysis
  • Must be able to physically operate a computer (keyboard and mouse) and access working areas of a construction site
  • Willingness and ability to travel to project sites and meet with management, clients, vendors, or associations as needed
  • Work in excess of 40 hours per week may be required
  • Experience in estimating, scheduling, budget/cost control, field supervision, financial reporting, client relationships, computer skills, and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills; strong attention to detail
  • Knowledge of industry-standard bid practices
