We are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Building Inspector to perform field inspections of buildings and structures in various stages of construction, alteration, and repair. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with applicable building, plumbing, mechanical, and electrical codes, as well as zoning ordinances and safety regulations.

Responsibilities
  • Perform inspections to verify construction is completed in adherence with approved codes, laws, ordinances, regulations, and standards.
  • Verify that construction complies with approved plans and calculations.
  • Read, research, and objectively interpret code requirements.
  • Maintain clear, concise, and comprehensive records related to inspection activities.
  • Review complex engineering documents to ensure construction compliance.
  • Interface with Project Managers, Engineers, and clients through participation in project meetings and daily site interaction.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Qualifications Required Skills and Experience
    • High school diploma or equivalent (required); associate's degree or technical training in construction or building inspection (preferred).
    • 3+ years of experience performing inspections.
    • Experience providing inspections for energy generation, transmission, or heavy industrial projects.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to act as a team player.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software.
    • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines consistently.
    Licenses and Certifications
    • Current inspection certificate issued by the International Code Council (or ability to obtain within 6-12 months).
    • Valid driver's license.
