Assistant Superintendent - Commercial Construction

AECOM Hunt is seeking an experienced construction Assistant Superintendent to lead stadium construction in Jacksonville, FL.

• Assist the project Superintendent and Project Manager with a variety of support tasks.
• Ensure project safety compliance and understand applicable safety riders.
• Inspect engineering installations for compliance with specifications and quality standards.
• Maintain project documentation and interface with administrative field staff.
• Apply complete knowledge of procedures, company policies, and business practices to plan and accomplish goals.
• Handle complex protocols and work under general supervision.

• High School Diploma/GED and 6 years of relevant commercial construction experience or equivalent.
• Experience on large general contractor projects exceeding $100M.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings and technical specifications.
• Strong knowledge of construction practices, equipment, methods, cost management, and safety regulations.
• Experience with punch list, closeouts, final inspections, and client walkthroughs.
• Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, time management, and problem‑solving skills.
• OSHA safety certification (OSHA 30 preferred).

• Physical stamina and mobility to climb ladders, use hoists, and work on active job sites.
• Ability to lift and carry materials up to 50 pounds unassisted on an occasional basis.

• Construction projects expose workers to heavy machinery, elevated work areas, airborne particles, varying weather conditions, and potential electrical risks.
• Noise levels moderate to high; PPE required.
