Job Description:
Performs oversight of construction personnel working on a small area of the construction site. Ensures construction work matches plans, identifies deficiencies, reviews contract terms, ensures timelines and costs comply with contract terms, and provides guidance to junior staff. Prepares related reports, maintains daily construction activity records, and communicates issues to project leadership. Escalates issues to design staff for resolution and closes the loop once issues are resolved.

Responsibilities- Oversee construction personnel in a defined area of the site.
- Ensure work completed aligns with construction plans and contracts.
- Identify deficiencies, cost overruns, materials issues, and construction risks within the oversight area.
- Provide technical guidance and training to junior staff; review their work.
- Prepare reports (e.g., monthly progress reports) and maintain daily construction activity records.
- Communicate construction issues to project leadership and escalate to designated design staff as needed; ensure issue resolution is communicated back to construction staff.
- High School diploma or Vocational/Technical degree or equivalent.
- 8 years of related experience.
- Domestic and/or international travel as required by duties; travel frequency depends on workload and project demands.
- Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
An appropriate and valid driver’s license is required.

Skills and Abilities- Strong verbal and written communication in English.
- Arithmetic proficiency; intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to learn new technologies and applications quickly.
- Advanced knowledge of materials, methods, and equipment used in construction.
- Ability to read, interpret, and explain construction plans, drawings, contracts, and specifications.
