Nimnicht Buick GMC is seeking for smart, energetic, reliable Tire Technicians to be apart of our family today! This position requires exceptional teamwork and the ability to work repetitively on complex tasks.
Position SummaryThe Tire Technician is responsible for inspecting, repairing, and replacing tires on customer vehicles in a professional, efficient, and safe manner. This position plays a key role in ensuring the overall safety and satisfaction of customers through proper tire maintenance and quality workmanship.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Mount, balance, rotate, and repair tires on various types of vehicles.
- Inspect tires for wear, damage, and proper inflation, providing professional recommendations to customers or service advisors.
- Perform tire pressure checks, alignments, and related services as required.
- Assist in maintaining proper inventory levels of tires and related materials.
- Ensure all work is completed according to dealership and manufacturer specifications.
- Operate all equipment (tire machines, balancers, lifts, etc.) safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, following dealership safety and cleanliness standards.
- Communicate clearly with service advisors and team members regarding vehicle status and repair needs.
- Perform visual inspections and report any additional maintenance or safety issues to management.
- Adhere to all dealership policies, safety regulations, and quality control standards.
- Participate in ongoing training and development to maintain technical proficiency.
- Minimum of one (1) year of tire service or related automotive experience required.
- Certifications (ASE, TIA, or equivalent) are preferred but not required.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. and stand for long periods.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Be able to pass a background and drug test

- Exposure to noise, vibration, and potential hazards associated with automotive repair.
- Regular use of safety equipment and adherence to safety procedures required.
