State Representative Angie Nixon is now accepting applications in her Jacksonville, Florida office to assist with a variety of administrative and public relations matters requiring a thorough understanding of the policies, procedures, and operating practices of the Florida Legislature.
The Legislature offers a competitive benefits package. This position is not eligible for virtual work.
Primary Responsibilities- Knowledge and application of House Rules, Protocol, House-specific Applications, House Administrative Policies and the Legislature’s Joint Policies and Procedures.
- Constituent Management
- Day-to-day Operations:
Monthly Bills, Office Files, Office Property, Office Supplies, Office Communications - Prepare Monthly and Quarterly Reports
- Manage Office Expense Accounts and Travel System
- Required Legislative Filings
- Municipal, County, and Regional Issues Related to the District
- Community and Public Outreach
- Mandatory Trainings as Assigned
- Constituent Management
- Day-to-day Operations:
Monthly Bills, Office Files, Office Property, Office Supplies, Office Communications - Prepare Monthly and Quarterly Reports
- Intradistrict Travel
- Municipal, County, and Regional Issues Related to the District
- Community and Public Outreach
An Associate’s Degree from an accredited college or university and two years of administrative experience; or a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university.
Professional administrative experience can substitute on a year-for-year basis for the required college education.
