State Attorney's Office for the Fourth Judicial Circuit of Florida

Our Organization and Mission:The mission of the State Attorney's Office is to pursue justice for the citizens of the Fourth Judicial Circuit of Florida and to fairly and impartially enforce the law.

Position Summary: This is clerical work which requires the exercise of some independent judgment, attention to detail and accuracy.

Duties require limited knowledge of office systems or procedures.

Assignments may be a combination of, but not limited to the following, and/or similar clerical tasks: entering and updating information into office systems, imaging office correspondence and documents, extracting or copying information from one record to another, photo copying/printing documents, stamping/sorting/distributing mail, addressing envelopes, answering phones, conveying messages, serving as receptionist, performing various office delivery runs and other miscellaneous duties as required.

Other duties may include maintaining detailed records, requisitioning/ordering/receiving/storing/issuing office supplies.

CLERICAL SPECIALIST I

Job Duties
  • Dependable and routine in-office attendance during regularly scheduled business hours.
  • Review and promptly respond to all electronic messaging.
  • Perform quality work within deadlines.
  • Update case management system and notes.
  • Receive, scan and distribute incoming mail.
  • Receive and process Law Enforcement electronic media.
  • Assist in the processing and maintenance of all electronic media including e-filings and evidence and media.
  • Incumbents in this position may be required to lift files (up to 25 lbs.)
  • Perform all duties as required.
Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalency
  • Valid Driver's License
Preference may be given to applicants with
  • 1 or more years of experience working in a law firm, courthouse, or legal department in a legal support role.
  • Experience in daily runs within the Office and to outside Law Enforcement Agencies.
