General DescriptionThe Development Associate plays a critical part in advancing the university's philanthropic initiatives by providing administrative, operational, and strategic support to the Development team. Responsibilities include maintaining data accuracy in the fundraising database, generating reports, assisting with donor stewardship, and supporting the gift agreement process. The Development Associate will also help schedule visits, coordinate logistics for board meetings, and handle special projects, including college-specific fundraising priorities.
Responsibilities- Supports the Assistant Vice President-Development Officers, Directors and Assistant Directors of Development.
- Provides proofreading and document review to maintain standardized formatting and grammatical accuracy.
- Maintains and manages donor databases, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Collaborates with team members to develop and implement donor engagement strategies.
- Assists with drafting and tracking of Gift Agreements as needed.
- Supports the planning and staffing of volunteer council meetings, including preparation of agendas, meeting notices, RSVPs and meeting minutes.
- Manages priorities including scheduling meetings, reserving meeting spaces, coordinating conference calls and donor visits.
- Assists with expense reports.
- Keeps minutes, memos, letters, reports and other documents for internal and external circulation.
- Maintains filing and organization.
- Assists the Development Team with tasks and projects as needed.
- Occasional evening and weekend work may be required.
During declared campus emergencies, this position may be required to perform specific job‑related duties at a designated off‑campus location or place of residence.
Required QualificationsHigh school diploma and 4+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219.
