Our client, a rapidly growing healthcare services organization, is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its corporate finance team based in the Jacksonville, Florida area. The organization operates a national network of outpatient rehabilitation clinics and is experiencing strong growth through both organic expansion and strategic acquisitions.
Backed by private equity and continuing to scale, the company is strengthening its accounting and financial reporting infrastructure to support the complexity of a multi-site healthcare platform. This role will work closely with the Controller and finance leadership team and will play an important part in ensuring accurate financial reporting while supporting the organization’s continued expansion.

Position OverviewThe Senior Accountant will play a key role in the company’s accounting and financial reporting operations. This position will support the monthly close process, maintain balance sheet integrity, and contribute to financial reporting across a rapidly expanding multi-location healthcare organization.
The ideal candidate is a hands‑on accounting professional who thrives in a fast‑paced, growth‑oriented environment and is comfortable working with evolving processes as the business continues to scale.
Key Responsibilities- Own key portions of the monthly close process, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations
- Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations and perform variance analysis
- Assist with preparation of monthly financial reporting packages for internal leadership
- Support accounting activities across a multi‑location clinic network
- Assist with integration of newly acquired locations into accounting systems and processes
- Maintain and improve internal accounting controls and documentation
- Assist with audit preparation and external auditor requests
- Identify opportunities for process improvements within accounting workflows
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with finance and operational leadership
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 4–7 years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong experience with month‑end close and balance sheet reconciliations
- Solid understanding of GAAP accounting principles
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Experience working in multi‑entity or multi‑location organizations
- CPA or CPA candidate
- Public accounting background (Big 4 or regional firm)
- Healthcare services or multi‑site service industry experience
- Experience with in a private equity‑backed or high‑growth organization
- ERP experience, ideally Sage Intacct
- Jacksonville, Florida area preferred.
