Cost Accountant

Staff Bright is working with a client in their search for an experienced Cost Accountant
. As a Cost Accountant, you will play a vital role in evaluating financial data and delivering accurate, meaningful reports that support strategic decision-making. This position demands strong attention to detail, advanced analytical abilities, and a comprehensive understanding of cost accounting principles.

• Evaluate financial data and generate comprehensive reports on product costing, cost variances, and overall profitability.
• Track and assess inventory levels, investigating and resolving discrepancies as needed.
• Establish, implement, and maintain standard costing systems across all products and services.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to enhance cost controls and drive process improvements.
• Prepare and deliver accurate financial statements, budgets, and forecasts within required timelines.
• Perform routine audits to ensure adherence to accounting standards and internal policies.

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in cost accounting
• Cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus
• Proficient in cost accounting software and spreadsheet applications
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial accounting principles
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines
