Staff Accountant - JAX

Position Summary

The ideal Staff Accountant will report to the Financial Controller and should be a detail-oriented and motivated Accountant with hands-on payroll experience. This role will support day-to-day accounting functions while ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing.

Staff Accountant

Salary range: $55,000 - $75,000, DOE

• Perform general accounting functions such as accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll processing, journal entries, and month end closings.
• Assist in maintaining control of accounts and records in such areas as disbursements, expenses, tax payments, and income.
• Perform account reconciliations.
• Maintain general ledger accuracy.
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processing.
• Support financial reporting and variance analysis.
• Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
• Assist with preparing tax returns and other corporate reporting requirements and preparations for financial/accounting annual audits.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, with 1 or more years of accounting or payroll experience; in lieu of degree 4+ years of relevant work experience may be considered.
• Basic knowledge of payroll regulations and accounting principles.
• Strong MS Excel skills, detail-oriented, and ability to work independently.
• Familiar with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and AP systems, preferably UNANET, Quickbooks.
• Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
• Must be lawfully eligible to work in the United States, complete a U.S. government I-9 form, and successfully pass a government background check.

• Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC)

• An occasional lift to 50 pounds (with assistance, if required).
• Regularly ascend/descend stairs and/or ladders.

• Tactical Air Support is a Drug & Alcohol-Free Workplace. Pre-employment, random, or for-cause drug/alcohol testing (including marijuana) is required.
• Occasional aircraft hangar or warehouse environment with exposure to loud noises, fumes from engines and chemicals, unpredictable climate (hot/cold), electrical shock, or trip or slip hazards.
• Specific work hours determined by operational, departmental, or contractual requirements.
• Occasional travel to various work sites throughout the U.S. may be required.
