Tax Specialist

Senior Tax Professional – Onsite | Jacksonville, FL

We are partnering with a well-established organization in Jacksonville, Florida, seeking a qualified Senior Tax Professional to join their team fully onsite. This is a client-facing role with strong growth potential and a collaborative, supportive environment.

The firm is looking for a Senior Tax Accountant / Tax Preparer with at least 3+ years of tax experience within either a Big 4, mid-tier, or smaller CPA firm environment. Candidates should hold either a CPA or EA designation; CPA candidates who are currently pursuing and writing the exams will also be considered. This position is focused on tax preparation and advisory work with no staff management responsibilities.

You will work directly with clients on a variety of assignments, primarily preparing and reviewing individual returns (1040s) and business returns (1120s, 1120-S, 1065s).

• Prepare and review individual and business tax returns
• Serve as a primary point of contact for clients throughout tax engagements
• Provide tax insights, recommendations, and general advisory support
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations
• Work closely with partners and senior leadership on client-facing matters
• Ensure high-quality, timely delivery of tax work during tax season and year-end

• CPA or EA (CPA candidates pursuing exams welcomed)
• Minimum 3+ years of hands-on tax experience
• Experience in public accounting:
  Big 4, regional, or small CPA firm
• Strong technical understanding of individual and business returns
• Excellent communication skills, comfortable in a client-facing role
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities
