ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
- Maintain General Ledger in compliance with GAAP and assist in developing internal controls.
- Support CFO with financial reporting for government and private grants, ensuring compliance.
- Prepare routine revenue/expense reports and resolve discrepancies.
- Review monthly P&L reports and reconcile variances with department heads.
- Reconcile accounts and maintain fixed assets database.
- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
- Generate journal entries and assist with audit preparation.
- Support budget planning and implementation.
- Assist with insurance renewals and serve as backup for payroll and AP processing.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, business administration, or finance required; CPA, MBA, or CMA a plus.
- 5+ years of accounting experience, ideally in the non-profit sector.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Experience with grants management and compliance preferred.
- Proficiency with accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
