Responsibilities
This position prepares journal entries and performs general ledger reconciliations and other general ledger closing duties. Special projects may also be required in the absence of the staff accountant.
Must be proficient with personal computers and Microsoft Excel or any combination of education, training, or experience in a business office environment.
QualificationsA minimum of a high school graduate or equivalent, preferably with an Associate’s Degree in Accounting.
A minimum of two (2) years of experience in an accounts payable/payroll department, preferably in a healthcare setting.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting software is preferred.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
May be required to work occasional overtime and flexible hours.
