We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join an excellent company in the Nocatee area of Jacksonville. This person will be responsible for managing financials for one of the company entities and assist the corporate controller with general accounting functions. This role will be fully onsite during normal business hours. The company is big on internal promotions and offers opportunity for growth, competitive salary, and excellent benefits.
Responsibilities- Actively participate in completing month-end activities
- Prepare complex journal entries including intercompany and other closing adjustments
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts ensuring accuracy of financial data
- Support and provide backup for staff with bank reconciliations
- Assist during year-end close and external audit by finalizing financials and preparing work papers
- Create various ad-hoc analyses as needed
- Participate and contribute to process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- Master's degree and/or CPA is a plus
- 5+ years of experience in accounting
- Knowledge of Net Suite software
- Intermediate to advanced-level proficiency with Microsoft Excel
