Summary Of Position
The primary role of a Staff Accountant is to maintain financial procedures and confirm financial compliance. This is an entry level position with an opportunity to learn and advance within our company.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities- Prepare monthly journal entries and account reconciliations
- Assist with the month-end financial close and reporting process
- Assist with SOX compliance requirements
- Support Accounting Department with special projects as needed
- Assist with support requests during the financial statement audit
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
- 1 - 2 years professional experience in accounting.
- Understanding of and the ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles.
- Strong analytical problem-solving aptitude with creative solutions, ability to organize work with large amounts of information efficiently, manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously with strong attention to detail
- Exceptional communication skills -- both written and verbal
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills and time management skills
- Ability to establish and maintain strong positive relationships
- Proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word
- Team Player and willing to be flexible and adaptable to change.
- This position requires that the employee work from the Corporate office in Jacksonville, FL
- The work environment is representative of an office/field setting
- The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate
